2011-12 State Battle of the Books Team
Beginning in October, teams from grades 4-6 have been reading books from a specified list. Battles between the teams began in January and then the State team was named in February. The students participated in the online State Battle Monday, February 20th and won’t know where they placed in the state for a couple of weeks.
The State team consisted of Wyatt J. and Gus J., sixth grade; Wyatt M. and Jessie S., fourth grade; and alternate Alysha P. , fourth grade. The sixth graders have been involved since fourth grade and have been on the State team at least two years. We are very encouraged by the strength of the fourth grade readers and look forward to another strong team next year. |
